We are the controller of the data processed in connection with the Droplet app and website (Art. 4(7) GDPR). We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer as we are not legally required to under Art. 37 GDPR.
Droplet does not require an account, and we do not collect personal data that identifies you directly. When you use the app, the following third-party services may collect anonymized technical data:

We have Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) in place with all providers.
When you save or update a Highlight, Droplet sends an anonymous Highlight Submission to help improve the app's curated Highlights. It contains only the song's public identifiers (its ISRC and/or Apple Music catalog id), the Highlight's position in the song, the time you saved it, and the app version. It carries no account, name, email, Apple Music identity, library, playlist, or listening-history information, nothing that identifies you or your device, and it is never sent for songs you import yourself. To prevent abuse, our server temporarily uses the network address a request arrives from for rate-limiting only — it is not stored with your submission. Sending is best-effort: if it fails, your Highlight still saves normally, and submissions are only ever used as curation evidence, never published automatically.
